History |
 |
Mr. Stanley G. Reynolds is a successful local businessman who
inherited a love of collecting from his father. Some of his collection
came to him as trade-ins at his car dealership, but most of it he searched
out himself. He was very successful and soon amassed a large
collection of cars, trucks, agricultural equipment and much more. Mr.
Reynolds wanted to preserve his collection for future generations and he
approached the Government of Alberta with a proposal, he would donate a
large portion of his collection to the province if the province would
agree to build a facility to house it. |
|
A committee of experts was appointed to review the thousands of
artifacts in Mr. Reynolds' collection and choose those which best
represented the museum's themes. The museum opened on September 12,
1992. |
