Canadian Forces Snowbirds … confirmed as feature act at Wetaskiwin Air Show 2008

 

The Canadian Forces Snowbirds announced yesterday, at the International Council of Air Shows conference in Las Vegas, that they will be the feature act on July 26 and 27, 2008 for the Wetaskiwin Air Show 2008.

 

Smoke, precision, speed and synchronized high performance aerobatics will be on display as incredible civilian and military performers take to the skies over the Reynolds-Alberta Museum grounds.

 

Visitors will also be able to see rare unusual and one-of-a-kind aircraft from the Reynolds-Alberta Museum collection (the second largest aviation collection in Canada), a variety of guest display aircraft and participate in family-friendly activities. The Air Show offers a safe, informative, interactive, entertaining and memorable experience.

 

The Reynolds-Alberta Museum grounds will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with the air show taking place from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. each day (schedule and performers subject to change). 

The Snowbirds Demonstration Team is a Canadian icon comprised of serving members of the Canadian Forces. Their pilots and technicians work as a team to bring thrilling performances to the North American public. Serving as Canadian ambassadors, the Snowbirds demonstrate the high level of professionalism, teamwork, excellence, discipline and dedication inherent in the women and men of the Air Force and the Canadian Forces.
